Aspen Debyah
Aspen Debyah is a Fine Fiber Artist who specializes in medium to large scale abstract tapestries. Most of her pieces are inspired by the natural world and the ongoing global discussion around climate change. She also goes to great lengths to do her part and source cruelty-free, environmentally-conscious, and sustainably made fibers and materials for all of her work; most of which are purchased from independent yarn spinners and other female-owned small businesses. If you are looking for a more colorful and fun piece of fiber art, be sure to check out her diffusion line, Poppy & Bee Luxury Home Decor and Textiles. Through Poppy & Bee, Aspen has maintained the same commitment to sustainability, while offering smaller, more colorful and accessibly priced works of art. Aspen was recently featured in Canvas Rebel magazine, where she discussed her most meaningful and dynamic ongoing series, Controlled Chaos: Life Through the Terrarium Lens. She has also been accepted into the June 2024 Chateau d'Orquevaux Artist Residency Program in France.
